Te Araroa – New Zealand’s Trail

Te Araroa is a continuous 3,000 km walking track from Cape Reinga, the top of the North Island to Bluff, the bottom of the South Island.

In Southland, the Te Araroa Trail passes near Mavora lakes.

There are options for walkers to join up with Tracknet’s Timetables for onwards travel, or a short stop over for a shower and hot meals before commencing your journey.
